Meet Bodhi Babes Wonder Woman #BBWW - Kirsten Davies, founder of The Food Remedy.
Kirsten is a Welsh beauty, inside and out and will have you feeling the same, with her expert nutrition advice and complete support for body confidence.

When you were a little girl, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I used to want to be a astronaut, I used to tell everyone I had a space ship and I kept in a garage by my local post office – never one to be stopped by gender stereotypes or location!! I think I was about 6 at the time. I had and still have a very vivid imagination!
What do you do now? For work? For fun?
I'm Kirsten, the founder of The Food Remedy, I am a nutritionist and body confidence coach. I help women ditch the diet mentality and love the skin they are in! Fuel your mind, nourish your body and feed your soul. For fun, I spend time with my friends and family, I love horse riding, I'm an absolute book worm and I love being in nature, whether that's at the beach, walking in Brecon or finding and exploring new areas!

How did you get into your area of expertise?
I have always had a massive interest in nutrition, I did my first undergraduate degree in early childhood studies and did my dissertation on childhood eating patterns. I then trained to be an ABA autism therapist and became a nanny for an autistic girl in Australia. I was her nanny and therapist and noticed on some days her behavior and concentration was better then others. Working with doctors and her parents we changes her diet to a gluten and casien free and within a week she was making eye contact, she became verbal – it was beyond a coincidence. I then came back to the UK retrained and did an internship in Harley street with Ian Marber at The Food Doctor, and soon after The Food Remedy was born!!

What obstacles have you faced in following your dreams and how have you overcome them?
Giving up a secure career to follow your dream is always a daunting experience, I have had many set backs and pit stops along the way and to be honest I don't think they ever stop. I think an almost delusional self-belief and not listening to other people fears is crucial. I also believe that when you are living your passion you have a renewable source of energy as when you truly believe in what you are doing you just want to share that knowledge and help people. So being and persistent and consistent in following your dreams.

What’s the best part of what you do?
The people! I love meeting people, I love talking to people and I love learning all about people. I find it massively rewarding to see how dietary changes can change someone's life, that sounds like a huge statement but changing your diet really can change your life. My very first real client when I was training in Nutrition was a lady who was trying to get pregnant, she had been trying to get pregnant for 7 years. I remember feeling really overwhelmed when I saw her case notes yet she came back to see me 3 months after her first consultation and she was a month pregnant! She was so grateful it was a wonderful moment for us all. Food really is powerful.

What advice do you have for other women who might want to follow suit
Believe in yourself!
Don't compare yourself to anyone else.
The moment you stop enjoying what you're doing stop. Always do what you love, if you dont love it you're wasting your life.

What’s your morning routine?
This is different every day, It could be said I have a chaotic life, but that's just the way I like it at the moment!
3 things that are on your ‘to do’ list today?
Write a gratitude journal 5 things I'm grateful for.
Tell my family I love them.
Make sure I spend at least 30 minutes outside moving.
What are you working on at the moment? Next project?
At the moment I have lots of little projects on the go that shall all be unveiled in spring AND that's all I'm saying for now!!

One woman you admire and why?
My mum, she's beautiful inside and out and has overcome so many difficult thing in her life yet her never let anyone of them stop her. She's so caring and passionate and goes out of her way to look after everyone around her.
Three wishes?
Health, happiness, love. For myself and everyone in my life.
Who do you turn to for advice?
Firstly I try and listen to myself and listen to my gut instinct, then its my mum and then its one of my best friends, Lucy, who is absolute earth angel. She herself is a life coach and just an all round blinking gem.
Favourite book?
Your Erroneous Zone by Wayne Dyer. This book literally changed my life, I read it in 2012 when I was on holiday in Tunisia and it completely made me change the way I looked at everything in my life. I read it every few months to remind me of all the invaluable advice it holds!
Favourite movie?
I'm not a big movie watcher to be honest, I don't really watch TV either so it would have to be a rom-com... Oh, I know- serendipity! I love that film! Beautiful....can you tell I'm a hopeless romantic?!
Favourite childhood game?
I used to love playing with Sylvanian Families! In fact I still have them all in my mums loft!
Fantasy career? Why?
I absolutely love my job and cant think of anything else I would rather do.... However, I would have loved nothing better to have been an all singing all dancing member of Girls Aloud!!
Words for Monday motivation?
SURRENDER to what is, LET GO if what was, HAVE faith in what's coming.
#FeelGoodFriday song?
Oh this is forever changing, my taste in music is so eclectic ranging from Dolly Parton to I Am Hardwell. So I really couldn't pick just one song!!
Favourite quote?
"When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change."
DR Wayne Dyer!
